Rachal joined RNC as Deputy Director in May 2021 from Adferiad Recovery (formerly Hafal and CAIS), which supports people with serious mental illness and those in recovery from addiction. Between 2019 – 2021, she was their Head of Opportunity Management. Rachal rolled out successful Change Management merging two teams of fundraisers and diversifying income streams to support organisational growth. Rachal led a high-performing team to grow income to over £6 million.
Between 2016 – 2019, Rachal was Head of Income Generation for City Hospice (formerly George Thomas Hospice Care) creating a new Income Generation Strategy which included developing donor care compliant to Fundraising Regulator principles, carrying out a review of Event Fundraising, Volunteering, and Marketing, and modernising the charity’s Retail Offer. Rachal developed corporate partnerships, legacy giving, digital fundraising to take turnover from £1 million to £2 million.
Committed to causes supporting social justice, health, and young people, Rachal brings considerable experience across the fundraising mix: developing successful Statutory Tenders, raising money from Trusts and Foundations, and growing Voluntary Income to realise organisational resilience and growth.
Rachal’s previous roles include Head of Communications and Development for Llamau – the youth homelessness charity – and Community Fundraising for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
